Volunteer Qualifications

In order to become a member of the Great Plains Zoo Volunteer Program, you must meet the following qualifications:

• Be at least 16 years of age or older (unless volunteering with a parent or guardian)
• Commit to volunteering a minimum of 80 hours per year¹.
• Attend volunteer orientation (other classes are also required for specific areas of the volunteer program).
• Pass a fingerprinting/background check.

¹ Not required for Event Volunteering
