Along with stopping by the Zoo to register for events, the Great Plains Zoo utilizes Paypal and the event registration site Mollyguard to collect registrations online. There are no fees inquired by the buyer for any transaction made through this service. Please see below for more information.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Do I need a Paypal Account? No. You do NOT need a PayPal account to complete any event registration purchase made through our site.
- Will I receive a receipt or paper ticket? Not always. For most events, when you register and pay through Mollyguard, your name is added to a will call list with your purchase information. This information is then checked from a list at the door before the event.
- If no ticket or reciept, why do I have to supply a shipping address? For some events, we will send out a reminder card or event update prior to the event. In these cases, the shipping address you provide at the time of checkout is the address we will send these items to.
Mollyguard Information
Mollyguard allows to quick and effortless way to collect event registration fees online. Payments are accepted from credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover) or a bank account directly through PayPal.
- Why is there no SSL protection for my Mollyguard Account? Financial transactions and entry of sensitive financial data is performed by PayPal on their secure site. Mollyguard collects and displays non-sensitive data, and any commands with in Mollyguard cannot result in any type of funds movement or otherwise1.

Transactions are processed by PayPal. PayPal credit card processing services are independent of Mollyguard events.
PayPal is an account-based system that allows anyone with an email address to securely send and receive online payments. PayPal makes sending money as easy as sending email. Members can instantly send money to anyone with an email address. Recipients are notified by email that they have received a payment. PayPal is also available to people in 45 countries including the US2.
PayPal uses SSL technology to keep your information safe. In addition, when you send a payment using PayPal, the recipient will not receive sensitive financial information like your credit card or bank account number. This eliminates unnecessary worry about paying people you don’t know2.
- Why should you rely on PayPal for your transactions? PayPal offers one of the safest platforms for online commerce with fraud rates at a fraction of those of typical e-commerce offerings. PayPal offers ease and flexibility, accepting all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express), as well as all major debit cards and direct transfers.
